• Chief Operating Officer

    Debra Johnson has 26 years of both financial and operational experience with various healthcare entities.

    For the past 14 years with IMD, Ms. Johnson has been responsible for the development and implementation of four specialty hospital information systems including all aspects of financial operations.  Currently, her primary responsibilities include oversight of all IMD operations including $400 million in annual client gross revenue billing, collections, managed care contracting, compliance activities as well as other financial analysis and client reporting.

    Ms. Johnson has direct revenue cycle and financial management responsibility for multiple healthcare entities including hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers, multiple specialty and primary care physician practices, and physical therapy services.  Additionally, she performs financial reporting and internal controls development and compliance monitoring in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and the Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002.

    Prior to joining IMD, Ms. Johnson was the Chief Financial Officer for HCA Managed Care Services of Oklahoma. Her responsibilities included payor contract negotiations and HMO global risk contract administration for eight Physician/Hospital Organizations, which included 1,000 physicians, 10 hospitals and five surgery centers statewide.

    Other healthcare financial management experience includes positions as Director of Managed Care and Controller with Oklahoma City Clinic, a large multi-specialty physician group (100 physicians), and Senior Auditor with KPMG Peat Marwick, specializing in HealthCare Practice.

    Ms. Johnson graduated Cum Laude from the University of Oklahoma in Business Administration with a degree in Accounting.  She is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Global Healthcare Accountant, and a member of the Oklahoma State Society of Certified Public Accountants, Oklahoma Ethics Consortium, Healthcare Financial Management Association and Medical Group Management Association.

  • VP Operations

    As a member of the leadership team for IMD for over seventeen years Ms. Spiller is responsible for daily operations of the scheduling, benefit/precertification services, and the provider relations departments of the company as well as overseeing technology needs. She is a member of IMD's process improvement team. Through this involvement, she was instrumental in facilitating the planning and execution of compliance with HIPAA standards for both IMD and client facilities.

    Ms. Spiller is directly responsible for the management and operations of Oklahoma Diagnostic Imaging and Northern Oklahoma Diagnostic Imaging's outpatient diagnostic imaging centers throughout the state of Oklahoma. She manages daily operations, including MR and CT technology, personnel, and quality assurance. Under her direction, all of the facilities have achieved and maintain the highest standard of practice, the AmericanCollege of Radiology (ACR) accreditation.

     Ms. Spiller has more than 40 years of radiologic technology experience in acute care hospitals, outpatient imaging facilities and physician practices. Her knowledge base benefits a variety of clients as they design and implement their facilities' radiology services. Her understanding of the industry and relationships with equipment vendors realizes significant client cost savings through effective equipment procurement and service agreement negotiations.

     She is registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and holds advanced qualifications in Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging and is a Certified Radiology Administrator.  She is a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technology and the American Healthcare Radiology Administrators.

  • VP of Revenue Cycle Management

    Christine Brown has over 29 years’ experience in the health care industry which encompasses both Physician and Hospital revenue cycle management.  Ms. Brown’s responsibilities included, but were not limited to analyzing reimbursement, billing, customer service and collection of revenues in excess of $500 million per year.  She worked closely with the Managed Care Department to monitor contracts with payers and to ensure the charge master was functioning as necessary to meet the demands of contracting and compliance.

    Prior to joining IMD, Ms. Brown was the Assistant Director of Business Services at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City. St. Anthony is a 600+ bed hospital and is part of SSM Health Care, a 14 hospital system headquartered in St Louis. SSM Healthcare was the first healthcare organization to win the Malcolm Baldridge award. Previous to St. Anthony, Ms. Brown was employed by the Oklahoma City Clinic. At the time of her employment OCC was a 110 physician, Multi-Specialty Clinic, with 7 locations. During her tenure at Oklahoma City Clinic she was Cashier Supervisor, Payroll/Accounting, Registration Supervisor, and Business Office Manager.

    Ms. Brown is a graduate Cum Laude from Southern Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership.

     

  • Controller & Decision Support

    Jay Smith has 21 years of financial and accounting experience which includes 12 years as Controller for IMD.  His current responsibilities include client financial reporting for multiple entities, reimbursement analysis, client internal and independent audit support CMS Cost Report data collection and oversight of accounts payable processes.  Additionally, Mr. Smith developed daily bank reporting tools for all clients allowing real-time cash management by senior management and timely cash receipts reconciliations.  His clients include specialty hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers and physician practices.  The cumulative yearly gross revenue for these clients is $200 million. 

    Mr. Smith has developed numerous database resources accessing multiple information system programs.  These resources allow management teams to perform detailed cost analysis, payor reimbursement analysis and monitoring of managed care contracts, net revenue reporting and numerous other ad hoc reporting as requested by clients.  With the increased quality data reporting requirements, Mr. Smith assists hospital staff with identifying, developing and capturing quality data elements and subsequent reporting. 

    Prior to joining IMD, Mr. Smith performed accounting and financial services including tax, revenue and cost reporting in several fields of business, including manufacturing and oil and gas.

    Mr. Smith earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Northwestern Oklahoma State University.

  • Controller

    Rey Pulsipher has 14 years of financial experience which includes 13 years as Controller for IMD.  His current responsibilities include client financial reporting for multiple entities, reimbursement analysis, client internal and independent audit support, CMS Cost Report data collection and oversight of accounts payable processes.  His clients include specialty hospitals, imaging centers and IMD internal financial reporting.  The cumulative yearly gross revenue for these clients exceeds $100 million. 

    Mr. Pulsipher also supported the IMD Development Team by preparing financial feasibility analysis for numerous prospective specialty hospital projects.  This included identifying appropriate reimbursement estimates by specialty and provider as well as developing project expense estimates and financial proformas. 

     Prior to joining IMD, Mr. Pulsipher was the Assistant Controller for Midstate Traffic Control.  In this role, he was responsible for most accounting functions, including financial statement preparation and payroll.

     Mr. Pulsipher earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Cameron University.
